With previous studies in marketing at the American University of Beirut [AUB] and a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design—with honors— from the American University of Science and Technology [AUST], Nelly Baz working background span from Account Executive at Intermarkets, to Senior Communication Executive at Spirit Advertising ending up with Communication Manager at White, Inc. Advertising before becoming the Co-Founder and Communication Strategist at Commune, an NGO that promotes creativity and innovation for aspirants in different creative economies sectors.
Besides managing comma, while she writes and designs in the monthly Pan Arab Design publication, Nelly's design work has been published in different magazines and was exhibited in the World Design Congress in Taipei, Taiwan where she also designed the Arabic Version of ICOGRADA Design Manifesto 2011. In 2013, She was Art Director of the iTunes Newsstand magazine Solo Travelist during its Six Months launching where she designed the launching strategy of the magazine as well.
Nelly was the 2011 recipient of The Chairman's Achievement Award from her university. She followed a Master's degree in Strategic Design at Politecnico Di Milano, Italy, and applied her learning consulting for start-ups at Make a Cube in Milano, specialized in the sharing economy and social innovation to reach sustainability.
Today, nelly is managing partner at hbr creative platform where she designs alongside the community innovative solutions using her service design skills while teaching strategic design, service design, innovation, and collaboration by design. nelly baz serves as the local connector for OuiShare building a collaborative community in Lebanon.
